Bunky Bobos Giveaway
Phatfiber has another great giveaway going on! See it here.
This one is for Bunky Bobos. The yarns in her shop are so vivid! I have fallen in love with Miami Vice colorway.

Phatfiber: Liberty Fibers
Today's Phatfiber giveaway is so inspiring. I have thought about dying yarn myself but always seems to see very bright and slightly gaudy colors other people have made which turns me off. What I imagine dying would be things that look stripped from nature. For example, I would want a colorway that looked like the mountains. It would have a purple that looked like the mountains from afar (that would be our purple mountain majesty!), the greens and browns that look like the moss and lichen that cling to all of the rocks in our Rocky Mountains, and definitely the muted pinks of the little flowers peppering the landscape. I just saw that in Liberty Fibers' Purple Melon colorway. They've given me hope that there are beautiful colors out there still that don't look like a clown or acid trip was the main inspiration!

Today is a New Day
Every day I wake up and have crafty thoughts rolling around in my head. Today is a new day and with the help of Facebook (where I spend too much time) I'll start keeping this blog updated!
Currently I still have that long list of projects to finish that are listed down there from last May. Sigh. Also add to that about half an hour of work for Liz's hat. This leads me to a whole new query. I recently acquired a new Liz in my life and am having a hard time when I'm talking distinguishing between the Lizs. One is a Boulder Liz and the other not, but the not Liz identifies as a Boulder Liz (similar to how I still identify as Boulder Hallie). They both knit so that's out. I hate new and old, plus I think they may be just about the same age! I'm think the new one to my life is PenguinLiz and the one whose hat needs to be finished will remain Liz. Whew! That one needed to be talked out!
I also have a few non knitting things going on in my head that I really want to try. I think this year is going to be a year of excellent crafts. There will be paints, beads, wires, yarns, fabrics, and even a sewing machine! I also want to start trying to sell some things...probably through Etsy to start. Yes, this is on top of the fact that I'll be applying for jobs today that if I get will have me working fifty five hours a week until June when I'd start working sixty three hours. Well...we'll see! Maybe I won't get any of the jobs and then will have more time to sit around cutting shapes out of fabric!
Now to just make sure I post again soon. I promise, turning over a new leaf here!
